We are very disappointed that the Council has cancelled the Christmas tree programme without prior consultation with the community and prioritising towns over villages - we all pay rates!!

TACA applied to the GROW South Antrim fund for funding towards a new toilet block in Wallace Park.  The Council is matching the funding and carrying out the contract management for installation of new toilets for 2018.

We have the Big Lunch planned for Sunday 4th June.  We'd like to thank the Enkalon Fund, Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, Templepatrick Surgery, Hilton Hotel, The Spar in Parkgate, Warwick's Solicitors, Coleman's,  the PSNI and the Donkey Sanctuary.

We are now working with the Council to update our Village Plan - this will be the basis for all future funding with the Council and we hope to apply for funding to improve facilities at Wallace Park - we have already submitted an Expression of Interest on behalf of the village.

Our Christmas light up in its new location worked very well this year and we'd like to thank Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council for sponsoring the event, Steamers for providing lovely sausages, the Hilton for providing gorgeous cookies and the Templeton for the mulled wine.

We hope you noticed and liked the new benches dotted around Templepatrick - they look much better!

We have been talking to Parkgate District Community Group about the idea of a well-lit path from Parkgate to Templepatrick.

We're all enjoying Wallace Park.  Although dogs aren't allowed in the playpark you are now allowed dogs around the park ON THEIR LEAD.  Unfortunately there have been instances of dogs being let loose or of dog fouling.
